Great for encouraging strong and healthy rooting, Westland Bone Meal is a natural feed ideal for use on hedges, shrubs, root vegetables and trees. The nutrients found in Westland Bone Meal are absorbed more effectively due to the longer periods of release in the soil. With calcium for healthy and strong plants, nitrogen for green foliage and phosphorous for strong roots, Westland Bone Meal has all the essentials needed to help maintain a healthy and strong garden.
You should use your Westland Bone Meal during the growing season every 4-6 weeks, from February until October. You should work the Westland Bone Meal into the soil and water before and after application over the drier months.
How to use Westland Bone Meal 1.5kg:
One handful of Bone Meal is about 35g. We recommend applying every 4-6 weeks for optimal results and good soil fertility from Feb-Oct.
Trees and Shrubs (Established plants):
Apply 135g/sq. M around the base. Gently fork into the soil surface without disturbing the roots. Alternatively, sprinkle the product over the soil surface, around the stem of the plant and water in well.
Trees and Shrubs (New plantings):
Apply 135g/sq. m to the bottom of the planting hole and mix well with soil or compost when refilling the hole.
Flowers:
Apply 135g/sq. m to the soil surface and fork in. Take care that the granules do not touch the plant leaves or stems. Water in well after application.
Vegetables:
Apply 70g/sq. m as a top dressing to the soil surface and work in well.
