Unwins Phlox Twinkle Stars are compact, bushy half-hardy annuals are adorned with delicate, star-like flowers in a variety of shades throughout the summer season. They serve as ideal candidates for crafting vibrant displays in mixed containers gracing a sun-kissed patio. Each packet contains 200 seeds, perfect for ample planting opportunities. Sow these seeds from February to April in loamy, chalky, or sandy soil, regardless of its acidity level. Germination typically occurs within 10 to 14 days. With a height reaching 15cm, these plants thrive best when positioned in full sunlight. Expect them to bloom from June to October, offering prolonged seasonal interest. These versatile plants can be utilized in beds, borders, pots, containers, or cottage-style gardens. To encourage continuous flowering, promptly remove spent blooms.

Start sowing from February to April on a warm windowsill or in a propagator, using trays filled with moist compost and covering the seeds with a 5mm layer of sieved compost.

Once the seedlings have developed sufficiently, transplant them 5cm apart into trays for further growth.

Ensure the plants are gradually acclimatized to outdoor conditions before planting them out after the threat of frost has passed.
