Soil Renew

The OPW recommends the use of Soil Renew on their grounds throughout Ireland. It is used in the Botanic Gardens and Phoenix park walled gardens. Golf courses, GAA grounds, rugby and soccer clubs (listed on the Soil Renew website) all use Soil Renew.

Soil Renew creates hummus in your soil with its combination of organic plant matter and an ecosystem of microorganisms. Soil renew actively continues improving the soil quality over time. It encourages earthworms to move through the soil aerating it and bringing the nutrients further down through the soil. Roots are encouraged to grow deeper reducing the risk of drying out. It is a certified Organic Product and a proven alternative to chemicals which kill life in our soil.

Soil Renew can be applied to the soil once a year by simply sprinkling over your soil and letting the pellets disintegrate so that the microorganisms can find their own level in the soil. There is no need to rotovate or aerate the soil using mechanical methods, the living things in the soil do a better job of aerating, draining and fertilising the soil that any mechanical methods can.
