Formulated as a tough polyurethane satin varnish, it delivers a clear, natural satin finish that enhances the beauty of wood while providing a strong protective layer. It is ideal for interior wood such as doors, skirting boards, stair components, furniture, and other high-use areas.
Note: this product is not suitable for use on flooring.

How to Use Ronseal Ultra Tough Satincoat

Preparation:

• Ensure the room is warm and well-ventilated before starting.
• Using a cloth and white spirits, remove any wax, oil, or grease from the surface.
• Sand the wood smooth to create an even base.
• Remove any sections of old coatings that are flaking, cracked, or peeling before applying.

Application:

• Stir the tin thoroughly before use.
• Apply the varnish evenly with a brush, following the direction of the wood grain.
• Allow the first coat to dry for 6 hours.
• Apply a second coat and allow a further 6 hours to dry.
• Before applying the third and final coat, lightly sand the surface and wipe away dust with a damp cloth.
• Apply the final coat for a smooth, professional satin finish.

• Approximately 7.5m² per litre, depending on the condition and absorbency of the wood.
