This odourless and fully biodegradable coffee machine cleaner is based on citric acid that removes scale from all types of espresso and pod machines. Scale build up will reduce the life of your coffee machine and slow it down while it is working. Manufacturers generally recommend regular descaling, especially in areas with hard water, to ensure that your coffee continues to taste well.

How to use HG Coffee Machine Descaler

• The decaler concentrate is to be 10 times diluted. Pour 75ml of the decaler into the water reservoir and then top it up with 750ml of water. 
• Leave this solution in the reservoir for 10 minutes.
• Turn on the machine and let half of the mixture run through it.
• Turn the machine off and leave the mixture to work for 10 minutes.
• After 10 minutes turn the coffee machine back on and let the rest of the solution run through the machine until the reservoir is completely empty.
• Rinse the coffee machine at least 3 times with tap water after treatment.
• To prevent any blockages in the outflow of a pod coffee machine a holder with a used coffee pod can be placed in the machine to capture any scale.
