Allium Christophii, also known as Star of Persia, is a striking ornamental onion with large, spherical flower heads made up of numerous star-shaped lilac-purple flowers. Allium Christophii is well known for its large, showy, globe-like flower heads, which can reach up to 8-10 inches (20-25 cm) in diameter. The flowers attract pollinators, such as bees, and are great for cutting or leaving in the garden as an architectural feature even after they’ve dried out. This variety is ideal for adding structure and height to garden borders, rock gardens, or mixed beds. Planting these bulbs in groups will provide a dramatic effect when they bloom.
